The Circle of Courage has been applied world-wide
in schools, treatment settings, and family and youth
development programs and spawned the Reclaiming
Youth movement. With this philosophical foundation,
Reclaiming Youth International is dedicated to the
development and dissemination of proactive policies,
training, research, programs, and strategies to
better meet the needs of children and youth for
positive participation in the challenges of home,
family, school, community, and life in general.
Reclaiming Youth provides a network to support
children, youth, parents, professionals, citizens,
policy leaders, and anyone else who is concerned
with positive growth and development.
Reclaiming Youth provides strength-based
conferences, training programs, research,
consultants, and publications to create environments
in which all young people can thrive and grow.
Annual Reclaiming Youth Conferences bring
together persons searching for positive solutions
for children and youth facing emotional, mental,
behavioral, and spiritual needs requiring adult
support. An international faculty presents
leading-edge strategies for prevention, treatment,
and education in which the goal is to transform risk
to resilience and rage to responsibility.
Conferences take place each year in the Black Hills
of South Dakota and in other locations.
The Reclaiming Youth Speakers Bureau offers
leading experts in the fields of education,
treatment, juvenile justice, and youth development.
Presenters bring rich careers of direct work with
challenging youth and are contributing editors to
Reclaiming Children and Youth, the organization’s
quarterly journal. The bookstore offers a strong
library of tools for working with challenging youth.
Every selection in this store encourages resiliency
in youth through opportunities for belonging,
mastery, independence, and generosity.
